What Causes Abdominal Pain While Sneezing In A Pregnant Woman?
Hello Doctor! I am 15 weeks pregnant abd for last 3 days I am having severe cold. My nose is completely blocked and I can t breath. Besides, I am sneezing frequently and everytime I sneeze it pains in the lower abdomen. I am using nasivion nasal spray but its not working. Is there any home remeey I can go for??
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood your concern. Not only in pregnancy, it is natural anywhere to experience some spasm in the abdominal muscles whenever any repeated activity like coughing and sneezing occurs that involves the abdominal muscle contraction. Since there is enhanced sensitivity during pregnancy, this is felt more. Please ask your doctor if you can be prescribed simple antihistamines, since you have entered mid-trimester. You can try steam inhalation using a little eucalyptus or nilgiri oil and try rubs like vicks. Turmeric powder and honey-lemon are also good home remedies to control cold. They can be taken with milk and hot water respectively. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
