Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.Pain in lower abdomen can be due to fibroids. Pregnancy or birth control pills do not cause pain. You can do a urine pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy.
Of you are pregnant, then abortion should be done prior to surgery as pregnancy increases the blood supply of uterus and if surgery is done in such a situation, then the blood loss will be excessive and complications can arise due to blood loss.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
