What Causes Abnormal Bowel Movements Along With Mucus In Stool?

hi there.... I had a bowel movement. Was really pressure when i was washing dishes. Haven t ate in about 5-6 hours...(had a long afternoon nap by accident) about to have dinner. The stool came out and there seems to be mucus or foam around it. Just wondering what that could be. Feel a lot better now though, what can that be doctor?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. It appears to be colonic mucus secretions.
2. Irritation of colonic mucosa would have caused it.
3. Possible change in colonic bacteria, due to recent broad spectrum antibiotics treatment possibly.
4. Need to take probiotics and yogurt. Having meals at regular intervals is also necessary. Also need to have good hydration.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again
