Hi,
Thanks for writing to us. You need immediate medical attention. The cause for this persistent bleeding should be explored with a thorough clinical evaluation, blood counts, coagulation profile, urinalysis, hormonal assay, sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route and exclusion of local causes like erosion, infection of the cervix and the vagina and polyps. Fibroids in the uterus, endometriosis, pelvic inflammation, hormonal imbalances etc., can cause this sort of menstruation. You need styptics to arrest the bleeding and hormones if there is no response. Supportive treatment also is needed. Take as much bed rest as possible and do not exert. Hope this helps.
