What Causes Abnormal Menstrual Brown Spotting?

I have a problem to my menstruation useally my menstruation is 5 days only but i have month of may menstruation until now i have but i see my patty liner they have color brown.that normal or not first time happen to me thank for answering my question.

Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. If you have never experienced such menstrual irregularity earlier, and if you are sexually active, please confirm/exclude pregnancy. If negative, transient hormone imbalance should be suspected. Sudden weight changes, stress, infections, cysts of the ovary and certain medications can cause such disturbances.
