What Causes Abnormal Periods While On Minastrin?

The last two periods I ve had, the blood has been rather chunky. Never before has it been that way. My last one was Oct. 5-10 and just started again on Nov. 29, it s never had that large of a gap between them either. I ve been using the birth control minastrin since August. Also in early October I had a UTI, yeast infection, and was told I had chlamydia, which I thought was all taken care of... Why am I still having this issue????

Firstly, hormone contraception causes menstrual disturbances in the initial 2-3 months and this can range from irregular cycles, absent periods, intermenstrual spotting etc. Secondly, infections can disturb the menstrual pattern. Once infection is under control and the body adjusts to do new hormone levels, the problem will disappear. Please see your consultant for proper monitoring of the situation. Hope this helps.
