What Causes Abnormality In Bowel Movements?

My bowel movements have been white the past couple of days. There is a dull ache under my left lower rib. Last Saturday I felt quite ill with a hard short lived fever followed by diahrea next 12 hours or so.Bowel movements when not diahrea are thin pencil like. Have a constant mild feeling of nausea.I have been diagnosised with IBS long ago but this just seems like something different.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

This appears to be irritable bowel syndrome or repeated gastroenteritis or uncommonly inflammatory bowel disease like chron's disease or ulcerative colitis.

Treatment is mainly based on the underlying cause and symptomatic like antibiotics antiinflammatory or probiotics or laxatives.

You should undergo routine blood, stool investigations with ultrasound of abdomen and upper GI scopy.

Consult gastroenterologist for further advise.

Regards,
