What Causes Abrasion On The Cornea After A Surgery On Lower Eye Lid?
hi,
I had surgery on my lower eyelid 4 days ago. After the surgery, I was told to apply the neomycin ointment over the next seven days. The stitches have been poking at my cornea constantly since. I noticed this afternoon that there is an abrasion on my cornea where the stitches poke at. Should I go to urgent care or just let my eye heal itself?
If the sutures of lower lid surgery are exposed towards cornea then only it can lead to corneal abrasions... N if so, then you'll have watering & foreign body sensations... Are you having so..??? Then you'd seek health care ASAP... Else you need not to worry much about it... N corneal abrasions are too minute which cannot be appreciated by yourself ... So don't ponder much over it...
