What Causes Absence Of Periods After Having Mirena Coil Fitted?
Hi I had a biolateral saloingectomy and a hysteroscopy a scrape and marena coil fitted on Thursday. Since then I haven t bled. Today I did a little housework and have now started bleeding. Is this normal to bleed after the operation or cause for concern? Thankyou

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It is normal to have some spotting after hysteroscopy. Moreover, Mirena contains progesterone and is known to cause menstrual irregularities.
I would suggest you to not to worry and consult your doctor if there is excessive bleeding or recurrent spotting.
