Hello,
Thanks for your trust in Health Care magic,
I am Dr Saleha and I will try to help you, Dear user, crestor is a statin (rosuvastatin) , it has a very common side effect of muscle aches , we medically call myalgias, your doctor did the right thing to take you off the med.
It will take about a month for muscle rebuilding after you have left the medicine and then you will be all fine. I would advise you to get your lipid profile done and start some other cholesterol lowering drug instead of statin. This will not have side effect of muscle aches.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Dr.Saleha
