Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3 year old has been complaining of achey legs and arms for the past week ... he cries in pain and walks funny. His appetite has changed and an xray revealed that he was severely constipated. He is on meds to help his tummy and constipation and his intestines are clearing out. The only symptom that is remaining is the painful legs and arms. What to do?
thanks for your question. myalgia or muscle aches are very common in children associated with viral infection, often a cough and cold. the aches and pains should improve with time. an antiinflammatory medication can often help. if your child's symptoms persist then I would consult your family doctor.
