What Causes Acidic Urine During Pregnancy?

I'm pregnant. Today it has seemed like I spotting pee in my panties. Do I need to see a doctor? I took a shower, cleaned myself, changed panties and put baby powder and a liner in my panties. I just went to the bathroom now and my urine felt acidic aka burned my skin on my butt.I'm 38, 5'5", 230lbs. Around 2 months pregnant, haven't seen a doctor yet due to insurance problems.

This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

Burning pain during micturition can be due to urinary tract infection and it is common during pregnancy. It can be later associated with fever ans chills. Do the following-

Take plenty of fluids per oral.
Take tab levofloxacin 500 thrice daily for 5 days.
Take urine alkaliniser twice daily for 5 days.
Get a urine routine and microscopic examination and culture done.

Talk to your doctor for prescription of the above.
