What Causes Acrid Meat Smell In Palm?
My palms smell like acrid meat - an umami smell. This happens mostly in the summer, probably because I don t sweat much in the winter. I just had an endoscopy due to massive epigastric pain. My esophagus and stomach are normal. Docs are asking for a gallbladder US. Could a gallbladder problem cause the palm odor? This has happened for about18 months.

Hi.
As per your case history of acrid smell on palms, my treatment advice is -
1. It is not related to gallbladder disease.
2. Take diet rich in vitamin c like citrus fruits.
3. Apply an antiperspirant lotion like aluminum chloride lotion daily once at night on palms.
4. Other treatment options are oral vitamin c, hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
