What Causes Acute Pain In Legs After A Hysteroscopy?

hi

my friend had a hyteroscopy approx 6 months ago.since then she has had acute pain in both legs causing her to be uable to walk for more than 10 yards with out then sitting down.the consultant has said that coincidentally she has now got arthritis which must have started immediately post operatively.he also said it might be the position she was in during surgery, but surely pain from that would not be ongoing and constant for 6 months.my friend has always been very fit and active with no problems affecting her activities of daily living.she is 69 years old and has no other mediacl problem.it sounds to me like almost a sciatic nerve pain.have you any suggestions?
