Hi Dr. My husband has mentioned that he feels like air bubbles are entering into his urethra when we are having sex, and says it s uncomfortable.....anything we can do differently or do to stop this from happening ? Also, he just last night complained of pain in his penis, and burning while urinating - I told him it s likly a UTI, and that if it doesn t go away on its own within a day that he should go to the Dr. to get antibiotics to clear it out......he also complained of a general feeling of being ill and had abdominal discomfort. He has a family history of bad prostate (grandfather died while in surgery for it, father now needs surgery, etc...). He also has had a Hernia, and as a baby had pyloric stenosis which was operated on when he was about 3 weeks old. What I m wondering is if I should be more concerned about his feeling ill - and wondering if it s at all a kidney or bladder problem that is manifesting as a UTI.....rather than just a simple bacteria that got inside from the outside causing the UTI. Should I have his pester his GP to send him to a specialist to have his prostate / kidneys checked ?? Could any of this be related to his hernia ? Also, he gets frequent heartburn & belches anytime he eats anything.......is it possible that he needs to have the area that was operated on for the pyloric stenosis re looked at and possibly re operated on ? Thanks
