What Causes Alcoholic Hepatitis?

my nephew is in the hospital with hepatitis from alcohol they are doing a blood transfusion now and said he is malnourished. the thing is, while yes he drinks, it doesn t seem to be in access. he is 31 years old and admitted he drank heavily for about a year and half but again, coming from a family of heavy drinkers, he wasn t one of them so could something else have caused this?

Hello,

Having a family history of heavy drinkers together with heavy drinking himself altogether has aggravated his situation causing alcoholic hepatitis.

In fact, his body is weakened at the point of not bearing alcohol anymore as it has caused such serious issues like alcoholic hepatitis.

I do not think something else caused this but alcohol abuse only.

Please follow his doctor's advice rigorously and take proper care. Help him quit drinking alcohol.
