my daughter is 5 yrs old.from last monday onwards she got fever stomach pain ,later loose motion..doctor gave bonisan but no use.yesterday took her stool for test ,then come to know she got amoeba.started medicine FLAGYL-S ..is it a serious disease...and how it is caused

Hi amoeba infection is most common infection in the tropical area.it is caused by parasite called entamoeba histolytica.it is mainly caused by taking contaminated food and water.
It presents abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting.it can be treated by metrogyl 400 mg twice daily along with zincovit and taking lot of water
