What Causes An Elevated Heart Rate?

Hi. I am just curious. I need to know if this is something I should go to my doctor for. I am in nursing school and we did vital signs today and my heart rate was 103 bpm and I have been checking about q2h and it doesn't go down. I do not have pyrexia. So I know that's know a s/s. Could you help me please?!

Hi,

Self Reading heart rate may show higher numbers. And this is happening due to over consciousness, if you want to really clear the doubt of any heart disease then EKG is advisable, or at least go for clinical examination.

Hope I have answered your query.
