What Causes An Elevation In The Pulse Rate While Treating Flu And Fever?

I have had a flu or something for the last few days along with fever, went to the hospital i had a very high pulse they were keeping an eye on me...... every time i cough my tummy hurts so much, i also.have asthma and I ve been having trouble breathing

Fever causes dehydration and release of pyrogens.
Pyrogens are chemicals which cause sympathetic stimulation. And this causes tachycardia.
Dehydration further increases heart rate.
So dehydration and pyrogens caused tachycardia in your case.
