Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have stuidied your case and I think you are having trigger finger. In this condition there is thickening of the tendon sheath and it appears like swelling at the base of finger. To confirm this diagnosis I would recommend you to get it examined by a orthopaedic surgeon. Following are the treatment options for you.
1. Ho water fomentation for finger
2.Tablet Brufen daily for pain and swelling.
3. special splints are also available.
4.Steroid injection can be given in the finger. It should be done by orthopaedic surgeon only.
5. If even after this there is no effect than last option is surgery. In this tendon sheath is released. This will offer good results.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions.
Thanks
