I am a 34yr oldmale with what seems to be an excess amount of eye fluid. Does this mean anything and is this any cause for concern? If i put my finger in the corner of my eye the fluid comes off in my finger. It s a bit like a bogey without trying to be too gross!
Please get a detailed eye exam done by an ophthalmologist including a lacrimal sac patency test. In case of inflammation of the lacrimal sac ( dacryocystitis), there can be watering and discharge from the eyes. Treatment can be decided upon once the lacrimal passages are tested for patency. If patent , then only lubricating eye drops are sufficient. If found to be blocked, then surgery is needed( DCR).
