What Causes An Itchy Tongue During Fever?

Hi my 3 year old daughter has a fever but is complaining of an itchy tongue. It really is annoying her. She hasn t eaten anything that I can associate with an allergy she has only been drinking water? Any idea of what may cause this or any tips of easing the itch.

Hi, itchy tongue during fever can occur due to dehydration. In my opinion you should give adequate liquid diet to child, preferably glucon-D mixed with water for 24 hrs and this symptom will vanish. I hope this has helped you. Wishing your child good health. Take care.
