What Causes An Obstruction In The Urethra?

I had sex after using the pessary for thrush. My husband at the time had blood in his urnine the next day but all the tests were done and no infection was found although there was a high white blood count. They did a urithoscopy to check the bladder and the bladder was clear but they did notice there was an obstruction in the urethra. Now, 2 years later the blockage has got bigger and my husband has to have a procedure to cut the blockage out. Could this blockage have been caused by having sex once using a pessary for thrush? Would that be sufficient trauma to cause such a thing? What outcome may we expect from this procedure?

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
From the information given, it looks like your husband has developed a stricture of the urinary tract. It is not related to the pessary and looks like an incidental finding.
