Thought I had a mosquito bite on my hand. It began to itch and became irritated and now is an open sore that oozed a little bit. Dried up one day but reopened after shower. Been several days . Thought it would have healed up by now. Any thoughts on what this might be or treatment?
hi, thank you for putting up your query on HCM. as per your history, you have an inscet bite reaction which may have become infected. my treatment advise would be: 1. you may take a course of oral antibiotics preferably of cephalosporin group for 5-7 days. 2. you may take tab levocetrizine twice a day for itching and pain killer like tab ibuprofen for pain. 3. maintain hygiene as it may get infected. 4. also, you may apply topical antibiotics like fusiderm cream twice a day. if persistant after 5 days, consult a dermatologist. wishing you good health. thank you
