What Causes An Urge To Vomit Often?

several times lately I have been overcome with a strong urge to vomit and this is accompanied by a smell, like that of dry cleaning fluid, but the smell does not exist to others so it is just in my head. Sometimes happens when I am active but some times when I am sitting down
