What Causes Anal Itching And Blood In Stool?

i have had itching of the anus and blood in stools and on the toilet paper on and of for about 3 weeks. i also have had bloody mucas as an only stool i had hemmoroids removed years ago can this be the same? i have taken metamucil for about 2 weeks and just started to use preparation h and there has been some improvement.

It seems that there is a recurrence of the haemarrhoids.

Have a high fibre diet.
Avoid straining while passing stool.
I would start syrup Lactulose to soften the stool.
Apply lignocaine jelly locally.

Consult a surgeon. he/she can examine and correlate clinically.
