I cut my ankle on Labor Day. The cut was about 2 inches long and I received 4 stitches. I had the stitches removed on sept 10. The last dew days I have been having clear discharge draining from the wound. It doesn t smell or hurt. When it dries it dries yellow. Is this infection or is this normal.
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you have got ankle injury .The cut was about 2 inches long and you received 4 stitches. You had the stitches removed on Sept 10. The last few days you have been having clear discharge draining from the wound. It doesnot smell or hurt. When it dries it dries yellow. You need not to worry. It is not infection. It is normal. If it continue after 2-3 weeks then you are advised to see your doctor to rule out foreign body inside your wound.
