What Causes Anxiety And Heart Pounding After Exposure To Acrylic Paint?
hello my name is wade.About an hour ago I removed some acrylic paint with paint thinner,i know I should have worn gloves and a mask but I thought it was ok but I done this inside my home without adequate ventilation.i showered and layed down for bed and started feeling anxious and I could feel my heart beating strongly in my neck while laying down!this symptom isn t happening as I am sitting up for this question.is this a normal reaction or should I go to my local emergency room?thanks
If your heart beat is irregular and/or skipping beats then its a concern. Take your pulse and if its more than 100-110 then that is also a concern. If its not any of these, you are ok, just leave that room entirely and breath some fresh air. Having the room ventilated does not mean you are not in-taking these harmful fumes (which by the way are harmful to many organs in your body).
So first and foremost, leave that area and make sure you are not even close to these fumes and that you are breathing fresh air from the outside. Avoid strenuous activities until you recovered.
