What Causes Anxiety And Panic Attacks After Consuming Alcohol?
Hi sir.. 20 days back after consuming heavy alocohol and spicy food the next day i got a panic attack along with burps...this was the first time i experrinced something likt it..i went to doc and he suggested to have antianxiety n anti acidity medice which solved my problem for that time...i have stopped binge drinking since then and have cut down smoking to 10 percent...now m on antaacid and sometimes get mild anxiety after food...after food stomach feels like heavy and fulll...pls suggest on this pls...

Alcohol intake can result in inflammation of the esophagus and stomach causing epigastric distress -alcoholic gastritis,which is relieved with antacids and abstinence. Many psychiatric syndromes can be seen temporarily during heavy drinking and subsequent withdrawal. These alcohol-induced conditions include temporary severe anxiety in 10–30% of alcoholics. You need to continue antacids and mild anxiolytic and moderation of alcohol intake,if not total abstinence.
