What Causes Appearence Of Dark Spots On Legs?
I have dark spots that appear on my legs after noticing a hurtful lump that dissolves in each case. Also my lips are getting darker. I used to have swelling in the legs but that has now stopped. I do not have any medical conditions to speak of at this time. I am 43, 5 9

Appearance of dark spots on the legs is commonly caused by excessive exposure to the sun in especially people with light skin. However, excess production of Melanin may also cause hyperpigmentaion of the legs or lips. Since you have a history of swelling in the legs you are suggested to get clinically assessed to detect developing varicose veins.
Varicose veins may also cause hyerpigmentation of the legs. Hyperpigmentation of the lips are indicative of hormone disorder, thyroid problems or excess melanin production. You are suggested to get clinically assessed & treated at the earliest. Laser treatments are effective under a dermatologist.
