What Causes Appetite Loss, back Pain And Headache While On Azithromycin?
Hi I am on Azithromycin for bronchitis which has certainly helped to relieve my cough, breathing, airways etc. I started to feel relief within a few hours of taking the first pill, I am now onto day 5. But I feel pretty wiped out, lose of appetite, ache in lower back, slight tooth and headache , no energy generally feeling unwell and spent the past few days in bed. I have another 17 tablets to take shall I go with it or should I be worried about these side affects .
Hello Welcome here. Azithromycin is usually prescribed in dose of 500mg once in a day for 5 days. But you have mentioned that you still have 17 more tablets remaining. And for the symptoms like decreased energy and appetite and other symptoms, i would suggest you to go for liver function tests. Also take combiflam to reduce pain. Visit your treating doctor further action
Hope this helps. Thanks.
