I was apparently misdiagnosed with asthma and was very upset when I visited a pulmonologist who told me it was a virus . I had taken cortiosteroids with side effects. If someone had not suggested a second opinion I may have taken these meds for life. Is it possible it is a virus?
It is difficult to explain whether you were having Asthma or infection because we need to know what symptoms you were suffering during that period. To come to a clinical diagnosis it is important to know the onset, duration & progress of the symptoms along with the history of patient. A doctor also needs to examine you thoroughly to co-relate the symptoms with the on examination findings to come to a diagnosis. You may visit a Pulmonologist and clarify your doubts.
