Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting in early pregnancy can be due to:
1. Threatened or missed abortion
2. Ectopic pregnancy
3. Bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage)
Since you had a normal ultrasound, then all three are ruled out. Sometimes, the cause of the bleeding is not found and it is then known as idiopathic.
You should be given progesterone injection or tablets and restricted physical activity, avoid intercourse to prevent further bleeding.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti Verma
