Dear Doctor, I am a 55 year old female. 100 pounds weight gain in past 10 years and nothing seems to work to lose the weight. Fatigue, High BP, Weakness in arms and legs, joint pain, back pain, acid reflux, trouble swallowing, sleepy all the time, extreme loss of memory and confusion, lack of concentration ability, and more. But one of the main thngs that bothers me is my "dizziness upon standing from sitting." It has been going on for more than a year now and I have been to many kinds of specialists (ENT, Cardiologists, NeuroOpthamologists, Orthropedics, GP, and more I can't remember). Nobody knows what is wrong with me and most believe I'm a hypochrondriac. I just began seeing an Endocrinologist (one visit); but she, too, seems to think I'm just crazy. My dizziness only lasts a few seconds or minutes; but I either have to sit back down quickly, or stand still holding onto something until it goes away. If I "try to push through it" and keep walking while dizzy, I completely lose focus of any and everything around me and fall straight forward to the ground! I have never lost conciousness, but I do feel faint. The room does not "spin"; but my head feels like it is going to explode, and become unsteady and I feel really "weird" for a few seconds. I've tried to figure out what brings it on; but it seems to happen in all types of situations and at all times of day. It seems to be worse and more frequent in the heat; but the past few months it seems as if it is getting much worse. Can you point me in a direction to try that I haven't already gone? Thanks. Tina
