What Causes Bacteria And Burning Sensation While Urinating?
Urine report says bacteria present ++ and Pus cells 18-20 hpf and burning sensation while passing urine for a couple days .Apart from urinary infection which is expected reply is there anything else to be worried about?. chuck cowlagi age 67 email : YYYY@YYYY

I have read your symptom and your urinalysis.
-bacteria present ++ and Pus cells 18-20 hpf and burning sensation while passing urine it means only Urinary tract infection and you need to start antibiotics to treat it. But don't worry,once you start the antibiotics you will feel better.
-There is also another possibility to have urine test altered, when the infection is spread to the kidneys (pyelonephritis) but in this case you would feel a lot of pain at your lower back, high fever, changes in the color of the urine,so since you didn't write these symptoms,i would rule out pyelonephritis.
Also you can help your urinary tract heal itself with these advices:
-have plenty of liquids
-fresh fruit juice, especially cranberry juice,orange juice
-urinate always after having sex
-don't hold your urine for long
For the burning sensation you can use ibuprofen,but for the antibiotics,you need to check up with your physician to take the prescription.
