What Causes Bad Odor From The Nose?
Hi , I have a horrible smell in my nose i keep thinking it s coming from my surroundings but it s not , my nose is sore to touch and when I insert tissue or cotton bud there is blood and mucus , I ve had to antibiotics for a sinus infection but it s still there can you advise please ?

Horrible smell from nose long with tenderness and mucous and blood discharge is appearing to be due to Sinus infection and as the sinuses drains through nostrils, therefore fluid/pus accumulation in sinuses can drain through nose. It is the cause of bad smell from nostrils.
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephedrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room.
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline. Avoid spicy and chilled foods. Do warm compresses around nostrils.
