in the back of my mouth I have a really bad taste. I taste it and smell it every time a swallow I never use to have it and its been going on for a couple of months now. As I swallow it feels like there is something thick and sticky in my throat.

Bad taste can also be due to a bad oral hygiene.
I suggest you to check with the dentist to find the root cause.
Get a professional scaling done.Your dentist can tell you the number of sittings necessary after assessing your oral health.
