What Causes Bad Vaginal Odor?

Oh boy here we go. My boyfriend cheated on me. Apparently with more than one. I have a different feeling and a musty odor that I didn t have before. I have an IUD. I also have Kaiser but can t get into my doc until the end of December. How dangerous is it to wait to get tested?

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

From the history about your partner, and sexual behaviour, it appears that your symptoms can be due to some kind of sexually transmitted infection.

I will suggest you to use Lactic acid containing vaginal wash during bath time everyday.
Use of vaginal tablets containing Clindamycin and Clotrimazole and oral treatment with a broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline will be of help. But you will need prescription support from your treating doctor for the same.

Please get proper sex counseling done about safe and protected sex activity, those will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs.
