What Causes Balance Issues And Neuropathy Despite Taking Neurontin?

My mother is 90 years old and was prescribed 300 miligrams of neurontin three times a day. She has difficulty balancing herself,has neuropathy and must use a walker and/or rolador to get around. My doctor said thisis too muh for her. She has lost a lot of weight as well.

I am of the opinion that Neurontin is given in various neurological conditions to reduce nerve pain. It is advisable to consult a neurologist so that radiological investigations (MRI brain)along with clinical examination can help derive at a diagnosis.
