hi i have a 6 year old son. today i noticed a bald spot on the top of his head. It is not a perfect circle but kind of round shape his scalp is normal shiny white there is no scales or dryness i am a hairdresser so just curious what coud cause this wehavent changed shampoos or anything like that
Hi. As per your case history your son is having alopecia aerata. My treatment advice is - 1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk. 2. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months. 3. Apply a tacrolimus 0.03 % ointment twice daily on affected part. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
