What Causes Bed-wetting After Having Hysterectomy?
Hi, I am a 33 yr old woman who has had 3 children and then a hysterectomy 3 years ago and now I wet the bed an average of 1-2 times a NIGHT!! I also have wet myself when I couldn t get to a restroom quick enough. I am scheduled to see a Urologist what should I expect?
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, the possibilities are- a cystourethrocele, which was/wasn't present at the time of the hysterectomy and left unrepaired;
infection of the urinary tract, stress incontinence and urge incontinence. As this is a recent development, this is mostly not related to the surgery. You may also need pelvic floor strengthening measures. Please go ahead with your consultation to plan further management. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shanti Vennam
