What Causes Bitter Phlegm In Case Of Respiratory Infection?
Hi, I had a cold about a week ago, finally went To the doctor and he told me I had a respiratory infection and gave me some antibiotics, that I should take for 10 days. After a couple of days with the antibiotics the once tasteless phlegm I had been coughing up turned into a very bitter phlegm. What can it be? I also wake up with a very very bitter taste in my mouth.
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you are having anerobic infection as this infection produce bitter and foul smelling plegm. And antibiotics can change the taste of mouth. So it is the antibiotics causing bitter taste.
