What Causes Black Circle Around Pimple?

Hi. Last night, I got a pimple and decided to put tiger balm on it. I left it on overnight and it burnt my skin. Now I have like this blackish-purplish circle around the pimple that really stings. How can relieve the pain and get rid of the burn mark?
