What Causes Black Colored Finger After An Injury?

My one year old smashed his fingers twice in the same day. His nail is not dying it smashed the tip of his fingers now the FINGER not the nail is turning black and blue red and swollen it was White at first and lamsot looked like a blister from a burn he also has developed an infection under tha skin... He has been on antibotic for 3 days now but it looks worse! Why is his Finger black ?? Scary! We have a follow up apt. Tomorrow afternoon but I want an answer sooner then that

Hallo . Thank for asking this question. Color is because of hematoma [ collection of blood ] due to injury . If he can feel sensation on tip of the finger than nothing to worry [ rule out gangrene ] . Hope I have answered your query .For further questions please contact .
