What Causes Black Colored Fluid Discharge From Nose Post Cauterization?
Hi! I had the inside of my nose cauterized yesterday due to a severe nosebleed that lasted over an hour. Now I have this black stuff on the outside of my nose which is quite embarrassing. The ER doctor didn t mention anything about this and I m wondering what it is and how I can get rid of it.

My name is Dr Paparaja S an ENT surgeon I had gone through your question...Nothing to worry..that is dissolved old blood clots with normal nasal secretions...it will stop on its own..don't worry about it...if there is congestion in nose you can take tab levocetrizine with phenylephrine once at night...wish you a good health....
