What Causes Black Colored Stool After Having Pepto Bismol?
I had burning in my stomache for two days with nausea and took ibuprophen for a severe headache. Was told to take pepto bismol for the acid. A day later after three doses of pepto my stool became black. Is this a cause from the pepto or bleeding? Its been black for two days. I havent taken pepto for those two days.

Although dark stools can be from bleeding , it is most likely from the pepto bismol which also always causes dark stools. It can take a few days to clear. If it doesn't in another 2 days or you become weak or have continued stomach problems, you should make an appointment with your doctor
