Hi, Looking at your diabetic history and the Present symptoms, it appears to be related to neuropathy. The loss of sensation has occurred due to diabetes mellitus affecting the nerves. Peripheral neuropathy is one of the common complaint in diabetes. The lesions appear to be a dermopathy or acanthosis nigricans. Weight reduction with good control is the treatment advised. For sores, good sugar control with topical antibiotics is necessary. It can further complicate to gangrene and might require amputation. Foot care to prevent infections is very important. Any further queries, happy to help again.
