What Causes Black Spot With Blood And Pus Under Cheekbone?
I had an almost black spot (not a bump) about the size of a pinhead on my right cheek just under my cheekbone. I knew it wasn t a mole or freckle, so I figured it was probably a big blackhead. I went to push it out and a lot of blood and pus came out and continued to drain for a couple minutes. What was this? Will it come back?

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle.It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin.You must avoid pricking or fiddling with them. A short course of oral antibiotic like azithromycin might also help. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards,
