Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 77 year old male. Am 70 lbs overweight, 5 10 tall. Blood pressure under control with medication. Started a 1500 calorie a day diet. Experiencing some gas (not painful) and diarrhea . Suddenly my stool is very black but not painful and no sign of blood in stool. Is this, hopefully, just a body adjustment. I was probably consuming 3000 calories a day. Ice cream is my downfall. Many thanks for a reply
