What Causes Black Stool?

Hi, i just want to ask why do i have black stool? 2 days ago i saw my stool its well formed but 3/4 of it is kinda black in color its not brown nor dark brown, then today i poop and its a pea size poop only but its really black and jelly like texture what does it means? Tnx
